Gorik van Oudheusen

Gorik van Oudheusden (°1988, Uccle) is a versatile Belgian rapper and actor.
Under various pseudonyms such as Omar-G or Papa ZG, he began his musical career in 2010 as one of the rappers in the Brussels hip-hop collective STIKSTOF.
With this collective he released five albums: “STIKSTOF”, “/02”, “Overlast”, “Familie Boven Alles” and “Moeras”.

In 2016, Zwangere Guy took his first steps as a solo artist by releasing several singles. His debut album Zwangerschapsverlof Vol. 3 followed in 2017. This album put him on the map as a solo rapper and, through his unvarnished honesty, unique sound and fiery performances, he left his mark not only on the Belgian music scene but also beyond.

His breakthrough as a solo artist came in 2019 with the album “Wie is Guy?”, which immediately landed at number one on the Ultratop 200 albums chart. The album consists of 19 tracks, but it was especially the song “Gorik Pt. 1”—in which he describes the home situation he grew up in, painfully yet honestly—that brought him recognition from the general public.

Nine months (a pregnancy) after the success of Wie is Guy?, his second album BRUTAAL/BRUTXXL was released in 2020. The combination of hard beats, sharp lyrics and a unique style made Zwangere Guy one of the most influential voices of his generation in the Belgian rap scene at that time.

As the numero uno export product from the blocks of the Ganshoren district in Brussels, he began during Covid in the summer of 2020, together with his childhood friend Frederik Daem, to write and devise a series. Initially they took the life of Gorik van Oudheusden as the starting point, but soon they broadened the story and used the friendship of four youngsters in the g®ootstad to tell—with humor and rawness—and to push where it hurts. The 10-part series PUTAIN appeared in the autumn of 2024 with great success on the Streamz platform. The music for this series was curated and written by Zwangere Guy and is an eclectic overview of tracks written especially for the series that showcase the different tastes from his record collection, performed by both well-known (Brutus, Madou, Faberyayo, …) and new (Forsissies, Eva Rose, …) groups.

Meanwhile, Papa ZG has also become a father in real life, and at the Ostend Film Festival the feature film Comeback(Savage Film) will have its world premiere; he also plays the lead role in it alongside Veerle Baetens.

At the start of 2025 he drops the news that the long-awaited release of his new album will be on 24 September 2025. The evolution and transformation that Zwangere Guy has experienced in recent times will be one of the main themes.
